Just grab plastic eggs, golden spray paint, bits of earth and various moss or mini-fat plants. Dye one half of the plastic ice from the outside and let the paint dry. Here we come up with two great ideas for creative Easter decoration and original packaging of small Easter gifts in a DIY carrot packaging made of paper or flower pots.

For crafting the carrots from flower pots you need a terracotta pot with saucer in the desired size, orange acrylic paint, hot glue and green paper for the stalk. Color the flowerpot in orange and let it dry. Cut thin paper strips, fold in half and glue to bottom of bottom plate. If you want to give away the terracotta carrots, fill them with sweets or other trifles and tie a bow.

Recipe for Easter Bunny Cookies

  • 500 g flour, sieved
  • 320 g powdered sugar, sieved
  • 250 g unsalted butter, cold and crushed
  • 250 g marzipan (almond paste)
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 drops of orange blossom water
  • 3 egg yolks
  • Bowl of 2 lemons
  • 10 small chocolate Easter eggs

Put the flour, powdered sugar, baking powder and lemon peel in the food processor and mix. Add butter and process until a mixture with fine crumbs. Add the egg yolk and orange blossom water and mix to the dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Halve cooled dough in half. Roll each half of the dough 2mm thick between two sheets of baking paper and make a total of 20 Easter bunny cookies with a large cookie cutter (10cm). Place cookies on sheets of baking paper and put them back in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 170 degrees. Roll out the marzipan 1mm thick and cut 10 cookies with the same cookie cutter. Place each marzipan easter bunny between two of the other cookies, lightly squeeze and bake for 15 minutes. Take the biscuits out of the oven and allow to cool completely.

Prepare frosting in the meantime. Beat 2 egg whites with 640 g powdered sugar until a thick and smooth mixture. If desired, you can split ½ cup of glaze into two cups and color with food colors. Fill colored icing in a piping bag with a 2mm spout and sprinkle one edge along the biscuit shape. Leave the frosting edge for 30 minutes and fill the outline with glaze. Decorate each easter bunny biscuit with a small chocolate easter egg in the middle and let the glaze go for about an hour.

What you can do for Easter as a gift or decoration is this cute rabbit shell made of modeling clay. You need air-drying clay, white acrylic paint, black oil-based sharpie markers, rolling pin, sandpaper and a glass bowl.

Roll modeling clay onto parchment paper 6mm thick. Turn the glass bowl over and place it on the modeling clay to cut out a circle using knives. Cut an oval shape from the rest of the modeling clay and cut in half for both rabbit ears. Secure ears to the back of the circle by pressing lightly. Carefully remove the rabbit head from the parchment paper and place it in the glass bowl. Press modeling compound lightly until it takes the shape of the shell. Let clay dry over the night. The next day take out the bunny shell, smooth all edges with sandpaper and dye in white. After the paint has dried, paint two eyes and nose with sharpness marker.

  • 170g citric acid, granulated
  • 150g cornstarch

  • Dried lavender and rose petals

Mix the food soda, citric acid, corn starch and epsom salt, and divide the mixture into two bowls. For both fragrances you will need two smaller bowls. Add 2 t of water, 4 teaspoons of aromatic oils, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and the desired food color to each bowl. Add the wet mixes to both dry mixes and mix well. Put dried petals in both halves of the plastic eggshell and fill each half well with one of the two mixes. The filled egg halves well together and let dry for 60 minutes or better for a day in the refrigerator. Carefully loosen the plastic mold from the bath bomb the next day.

Cut 1.5cm wide crepe paper strips against the grain and then gently stretch them out with your fingers. Wrap paper strips around the paper mache eggs using glue and fasten. Wrap wire wreath with tissue paper to create more area for attaching easter eggs. Glue paper papier mâché eggs to the wire wreath and decorate with decorative crepe paper and flower wire branches.
